J. L. Collins always wanted to be an artist like many of his friends. In a page of his sketchbook, he drew a character sketch and proceeded to use the next three pages writing a detailed back story, which read suspiciously like a short story. It was three pages long... double-sided, and he hasn't stopped writing since.
